My Story

Hallo und Willkommen! My name is Gianna Gonzalez and I am a junior at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. I am an English and Media & Society double major, and in the Teacher Education Program to gain a certification in teaching Secondary English Literature. I have been so fortunate and honored to receive the Blocker Fellowship to supplement my time studying in Berlin, Germany in the IES Metropolitan Studies program. Prior to my studies in Berlin, I completed a month-long language immersion in Leipzig where my class wrote German poetry about our time spent in Leipzig. Through this blog, I hope to continue the work I began in Leipzig and discover why Germany has inspired me more than I ever thought possible. Thank you for reading and enjoy!
